Wincle Brewery Shop is branch Pub of the Season Autumn 2026
The Wincle Brewery Shop (& Taphouse) is the CAMRA Macclesfield & East Cheshire branch, Pub of the Season for Autumn 2026.
Located in Wincle at the Cheshire/Staffordshire border and next to the River Dane, the brewery shop is internally is the smallest pub in the branch but so long as the weather is reasonable, it is more rewarding to enjoy the view of the river & valley seated outside. The Wincle brewery itself is situated next door. The shop sells up to three cask beers and also all the currently available range of bottled beers to drink on site or take away. The shop also sells (pre ordered) 18 & 36 pint boxes of real ale.
This area is a popular area for walking and there are many trails that pass close to the brewery shop. Many of the brewery’s beer names are inspired by places and people of the local area. If you don’t fancy an alcoholic drink, the shop also sells tea, coffee & soft drinks. Cakes are available at weekends. The photo shows the brewery shop on the left with the brewery on the right.
For walkers wearing appropriate clothing, it is possible to walk there from the 109 Macclesfield-Leek bus from Rushton Spencer.
