Real Cider

CAMRA has produced a revised definition of real cider and perry to reflect the current practices and processes of cider and perry makers across the UK. The focus now is on cider and perry that is #NotFromConcentrate. There are also two producers who produce cider from donated apples, which are typically dessert varieties. There could be more variation of taste and availability.

• The Random Apple Company are located close to Kerridge Hill near Macclesfield.
• The Old Saw Mill produce cider on the premises at their cafe near the centre of Congleton

There are a couple of other Real Cider producers who are based just outside our branch area: High Peak Cider based in Furness Vale and Dunham Press based in Dunham Massey.
