Crewe – Styal & Handforth Rail Ale Trail Launches
Explore the beautiful Cheshire countryside on the Rail Ale Trail along part of the Crewe to Manchester line, stopping off at pubs along the way to enjoy excellent food and ale.
The Manchester and Birmingham Railway (M&BR) was built between Manchester and Crewe and opened in stages from 1840. It merged with others to form the London and North Western Railway Company which, in turn, became part of the London Midland and Scottish Railway in 1923.
In this self-guided tour you can win a branded baseball cap by getting 15 unique pub stickers on your printable Sticker Card.
This Rail Ale Trail has been created by Friends of Handforth Station, working with other Station Friends groups and the C2M CRP. Assistance was gratefully received from CAMRA, and the project is supported and sponsored by Crewe BID and Cheshire Pub Co.
